TIGER GRID

Throughout the grid making process, I made the decision to make my image digitally, on Illustrator. In order to define the tiger,  I placed various shades of pink dots in the negative space to make up a large shape or formation. I really like the idea that you can work up close and transfer information from one square of the original grid to the image you are creating, and even if its a small dot, when  you look from a farther view, it makes a conceptual image and that small dot made a difference. I also think that the method of using a grid is very helpful in growing the artistic eye because it forces you to notice certain elements of everyday objects in a completely different way.
